CBS is giving retro hit S.W.A.T. a sexy reboot with Shemar Moore taking on the lead role of Lt. Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson.
Harrelson is tasked with the challenge of leading a highly skilled unit in the community in which he grew up—one that’s innately distrustful of cops.
Backing the action-packed series are two of TV’s premium show producers—Shawn Ryan, who gained fame as the creator of FX’s The Shield and then went on to produce shows such as FX’s Terriers and NBC’s Timeless—and Justin Lin, director of several installments of the Fast & Furious franchise as well as NBC’s and Yahoo’s.
S.W.A.T. premieres Thursday, Nov. 2 at 10/9 c on CBS.
