To promote the BBC’s broadcast of the Centenary of the Battle of the Somme—a series of famous World War I battles—London-based Wonder Creative combed through the archives at the Imperial War Museum and France’s Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.

The agency then combined images using projection mapping. Individual elements in the photographs were carefully separated and projected onto 3D geometry to create scenes with an immersive sense of depth.
