Want to know who will win the presidency on Election Night?
History Channel personality David Eisenbach shares a fascinating tidbit about Halloween masks successfully predicting election night outcomes. In a less than 1 minute clip, David Eisenbach notes that “in all the last nine elections, whoever’s Halloween mask was more popular won the election.”
Also, in another short clip, David Eisenbach touches on the history of the first presidential election. In order to convince voters to vote for George Washington, the clip details that George Washington got voters drunk to win the election.
“On the election day for colonial Virginia legislature in 1758, Washington rolled out 28 gallons of rum, 50 gallons of punch, 34 gallons of wine, 46 gallons of beer and two gallons of hard cider,” says Eisenbach.
“With 78 percent of the vote, the father of our country won his first successful campaign, thanks in part to 160 gallons of booze.”
