“Houdini” was announced last spring as a four-hour miniseries starring Adrien Brody as the famous magician, and now History has its first ominous look at the TV event.
The miniseries is being billed by History as a biopic to “chronicle the life of a man who can defy death through his stunts, his visions and his mastery of illusion.”
Kristen Connolly (“House of Cards’” Christina Gallagher) will play Houdini’s wife in the upcoming miniseries, co-produced by Lionsgate Television. History has seen success with its miniseries over the past few years (“The Bible,” “Hatfields & McCoys”) as it plans more originals for the growing network. In its first look spot, above, History takes a very close-up view on one of Harry Houdini’s most famous stunts. The dunk tank spot was created in partnership with King and Country.
