Remember going to McDonald’s, getting a burger, fries and a Coke and a little Monopoly ticket that you would collect to potentially win prizes?

Most people of a certain age do, but what they don’t know is that a mysterious mastermind, known only as Uncle Jerry, rigged the game for years. In its upcoming six-part documentary series, McMillion$, HBO tells the story of how an anonymous tip in 2001 finally set off a chain of events that revealed an entire network of ex-cons and mafia mobsters.

McMillion$ comes from Unrealistic Ideas, the non-scripted production company launched by Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Archie Gips. James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte write, directed and executive produced the series.

McMillion$ premieres Monday, Feb. 3 on HBO.
