Joel (The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal) has to escort 14-year-old Ellie (Game of Thrones’ Bella Ramsey) across the U.S. in an attempt to save humanity in HBO’s upcoming series, The Last of Us, based on the popular PlayStation video game of the same title.

HBO on Saturday revealed the series’ official trailer, set to A-Ha’s Take on Me, which also plays a role in the game.

Besides Pascal and Ramsey, the nine-episode series also stars Anna Torv, Gabriel Luna, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, NIck Offerman, Melanie Lynsky, Storm Reid, Merle Dandridge, Jeffrey Pierce, Lamar Johnson, Keivonn Woodward, Graham Greene, Ashley Johnson, Troy Baker and Elaine Miles.

The Last of Us is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and is executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Rose Lam. The series is produced by PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog.

The Last of Us premieres Sunday, January 15 on HBO and will stream on HBO Max in 4K.
