“You can’t plan for human nature,” in HBO’s upcoming series Camping, but that certainly doesn’t stop Jennifer Garner from trying, according to the network’s trailer for the new comedy.

Garner plays Kathryn Siddell-Bauers, who is not-so-happily married to Walt (David Tennant). A meticulously planned outdoor trip to celebrate Walt’s 45th birthday is derailed by uninvited guests and forces of nature, turning the weekend into a test of marriage and friendships, says HBO.

“The weird thing about life, you can feel fine, but also know that you’re a ticking time bomb,” Garner says to a young kid in the trailer, in between her cringe-worthy attempts to control everything and everybody trying to “escape reality.”

Camping, an adaption of the British series of the same name, also stars Janicza Bravo, Arturo Del Puerto, Bridget Everett, Brett Gelman, and Juliette Lewis and Ione Skye.

The series is from Girls executive producers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, and premieres October 14 on HBO.
