Continuing its commitment to Latino creatives and artists, HBO Max Pa’lante! (Forward) on Tuesday launched Pa’lante! Promise, a multifaceted development initiative in partnership with WarnerMedia artistic studio OneFifty. The Pa’lante! Promise is committed to elevating and supporting selected OneFifty series, films, shorts and podcasts that speak to Latinos’ cultural identity and feature Latinos in front of and behind the lens.
“Visibility and opportunity is everything,” said Jessica Vargas, director of multicultural marketing, HBO Max and HBO, in a statement. “The Pa’lante! Promise and WarnerMedia OneFifty is a great example of a network creating a platform where Latin creatives and their work are supported and elevated, through promotional campaigns that resonate with our audience in an authentic way.”
“We are thrilled and excited to be collaborating with HBO Max Pa’lante! on this exciting and powerful slate of projects. This slate captures the vision of the amazing artists involved and that of OneFifty,” said Axel Caballero, head of WarnerMedia OneFifty and vice president, artistic and cultural innovations, also in a statement.
Among the Pa’lante! Promise supported projects headed into pre-development next year are dark comedy short The Son Who Can’t Play Trumpet, dramedy series A Love Supreme, bilingual dramedy series L.A.tinas and sci-fi feature Harvest.

HBO Max and WarnerMedia OneFifty also said Tuesday they had acquired a slate of Latin content, helmed by Latino filmmakers. These projects will premiere on HBO Max within the next year. The films cover a wide range of genres, including short content, unscripted, documentary films and feature narratives.
