HBO Max rolls out a trio of steamy unscripted series just in time for the hottest part of summer with FBoy Island, The Hype and Sweet: Life Los Angeles, teasing all three series in the above trailer.

“We are ready to celebrate the summer with a new slate of fun, engaging unscripted originals that tell diverse stories and cater to younger audiences,” said Jennifer O’Connell, executive vice president non-fiction and live-action family, HBO Max, in a statement. “From introducing your next guilty pleasure with FBoy Island to showcasing mind-blowing streetwear designs in The Hype and spotlighting young people as they navigate life in Los Angeles with Sweet Life: Los Angeles, these series each offer viewers a unique, authentic and incredibly entertaining experience.”

In FBoy Island, hosted and produced by actress and comedian Nikki Glaser, three women are joined by 24 men – 12 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” looking for love, and 12 self-proclaimed “FBoys,” who are there to compete for cash. The women will navigate the dating pool together with the hope of finding a lasting love connection. By the finale, all will be revealed – who is a Nice Guy, who is an FBoy, and who the women ultimately choose.

FBoy Island is produced by STXalternative. The series concept was created by Elan Gale who is executive producing for TheYearOfElan Productions alongside Jason Goldberg for STXalternative, Ben Bitonti, Nikki Glaser and showrunner Sam Dean.

The Hype, hosted by Speedy Morman, is a competition series in which ten streetwear designers compete to see which of them best delivers on their fashion vision. Over the course of eight episodes, judges will include recording artist Offset, Bephies Beauty Supply founder Bephie Birkett and costume designer Marni Senofonte while guests will include such celebrities as Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Ferg, Dapper Dan and Bobby Hundreds.

The Hype is produced by Scout Productions with Scout’s David Collins, Rob Eric and Michael Williams developing the series with Rachelle Mendez. All four executive produce along with Jay Brown and Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith. Rikki Hughes showruns and executive produces.

Sweet Life: Los Angeles comes from Insecure creator, star and executive producer Issa Rae and offers a real-life look at the culture portrayed in Rae’s critically acclaimed HBO series. Sweet Life follows a group of childhood friends as they live and love in South Los Angeles.

The docuseries is produced by Rae’s production company Hoorae along with All3Media America’s Main Event Media and Morning Dew Pictures. Rae, Montrel McKay, Jimmy Fox, Sheri Maroufkhani, Leola Westbrook and Sun de Graaf serve as executive producers. Rajah Ahmed and Pyongson “Sunny” Yim serve as co-executive producers.
