Awards season is in full swing and Tuesday morning, the Producers Guild of America announced its film and TV nominations.

On the TV side, HBO took four of the five nominees for the Norman Felton Award for outstanding producer of episodic television, drama with Big Little Lies, Game of Thrones, Succession and rookie series Watchmen. On Sunday, Succession was named best TV drama at the Golden Globes.

Netflix snuck in to the fifth slot with the third season ofThe Crown, starring Sunday’s Golden Globe winner for best actress in a TV drama, Olivia Colman, as Queen Elizabeth.

HBO and Amazon split nominations for the Danny Thomas Award for outstanding producer of episodic television, comedy. HBO scored two noms for Barry and Veep, while Amazon notched two for Fleabag and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Fleabag won best TV comedy at Sunday’s Globes and also at the 2019 Emmy Awards. Pop’s Schitt’s Creek, which is just starting its seventh and final season, took the fifth slot.

The David L. Wolper Award for outstanding producer of limited series television also was split two and two, with HBO grabbing nominations for this year’s Emmy- and Golden Globe-winner Chernobyl as well as for season three of True Detective, starring multiple Oscar winner Mahershala Ali. Netflix was nominated for both Unbelievable and When They See Us, while FX’s Fosse/Verdon took the fifth slot.

Netflix had a strong performance as outstanding producer of televised or streamed motion pictures with three nominations for American Son, starring Kerry Washington; Black Mirror: Striking Vipers and El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, which will make its linear television premiere on AMC on Sunday, Feb. 16. Also nominated was National Geographic’s Apollo: Missions to the Moon.

Nominations for outstanding producer of non-fiction television were spread evenly amongst networks and services with ESPN’s 30 for 30, CBS’ 60 Minutes, HBO’s Leaving Neverland, Netflix’s Queer Eye and Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly all receiving mentions.

Late night fared well in the nods for outstanding producer of live entertainment and talk television, with Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NBC’s Saturday Night Live all nominated. Netflix’s live comedy special, Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones, also earned a nomination.

CBS’ The Amazing Race, Fox’s The Masked Singer, VH1’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, Bravo’s Top Chef and NBC’s The Voice are all vying for outstanding producer of game and competition television.

On the movie side, ten features are nominated: 1917, Ford v Ferrari, The Irishman, Jojo Rabbit, Joker, Knives Out, Little Women, Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood and Parasite. 1917 won best director and best drama, while Once Upon a Time in Hollywood won best original screenplay, best musical or comedy and best supporting actor for Brad Pitt at the Golden Globes on Sunday night.

Five animated films were nominated as well: Abominable, Frozen II, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Missing Link and Toy Story 4. Missing Link was the Globes victor in this category.

Winners will be announced at the PGA awards ceremony on Jan. 18 at the Hollywood Palladium.
