HBO’s four-hour miniseries, Olive Kitteridge, has been making waves since its debut at the Venice Film Festival, and will finally make its TV premiere this November. HBO (above) presents a slow and meandering first look.

Starring Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins, and Bill Murray, Olive Kitteridge is based on Elizabeth Strout’s Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel about drama and tragedy in a quiet New England town. The story is told through Kittridge’s perspective over a 25-year span.
