Being President of the United States is never easy and it’s definitely been challenging for President Joe Biden, who has had to contend with an ongoing pandemic, skyrocketing inflation, turbulent financial markets, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In documentary Year One: A Political Odyssey, HBO looks at Biden’s first year in office, combining archival news footage and insider interviews to reveal history in the making.

The film starts with Inauguration Day 2021 and ends with the State of the Union speech in March 2022, providing viewers with a front-row account of the Biden administration’s tense first year, marked by security threats both at home and abroad.
