“She’s wild. She will be the ruin of this family. And she doesn’t know how to behave like a proper young lady.”
That’s the premise for Apple’s new coming-of-age comedy, Dickinson, starring Hailee Steinfield as a young and rebellious Emily Dickinson.

The first teaser previews Steinfeld as the 19th-century poet who famously pursued writing against the wishes of her family and the constraints of society. We’ll see her wild imagination, defiant nature and partying ways as she sets out to achieve her literary dreams.
“I have one purpose and that is to become a great writer,” she says in the spot.
Created, written and executive produced by Alena Smith and executive produced by Steinfeld, the series also stars Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Blake Enscoe.
Dickinson, which debuts this fall, is the latest original series to join Apple TV+, alongside the already-revealed The Morning Show and For All Mankind.
