Web video and news delivery text-to-speech app Guide has changed the way audiences can consume online content. Its CEO Freddie Laker sees many more opportunities in TV screens and entertainment consumption, much of which comes from stories viewers assume are from the distant future. Movable and manipulated screens from “Minority Report” is just one example, according to Laker. According to him, TV interaction is going to look a lot more like in the movies, with some of it already becoming a reality, like with Kinect and Google Glass.

Guide, the Miami-based startup that delivers the news to you without pesky websites or reading, has just won the Microsoft Bizspark Startup Rally round two at The Next Web Conference. Guide will now face off against conference and web presentation startup Swipe, and online payment company PayLane in the finals.
