Daniel Guernsey has been promoted to senior creative director, on-air promotions, at YES Network, reporting to John Filippelli, YES’ president of production and programming.
In his new role, Guernsey will oversee all aspects of YES’ on-air promotions strategy and creative positioning. YES is a New York-based regional sports network, focusing on Yankees baseball, Nets basketball and the New York Jets and Giants NFL teams.
A New York Emmy and PromaxBDA-award winner, Guernsey joined YES as a writer and producer of on-air promotions prior to the network’s March 2002 launch. He has been creative director of on-air promotions since 2012.
Prior to joining YES, Guernsey was a writer and producer of off-air promotion and affiliate marketing at Comedy Central. From 1996-99, he was employed at Brightlights Production, a division of Gabbe & Gabbe PR, where he we worked with such clients as Goldman Sachs, UBS, Johnson & Johnson and Target.
Guernsey graduated cum laude from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 1994 with a B.A. in mass communication and a concentration in television production.
