Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson has settled her sexual harassment lawsuit against former Fox New chief Roger Ailes for $20 million, just as On the Record host Greta Van Susteren, one of the first female employees to speak up in defense of Ailes, announced her departure from the network.

“During her tenure at Fox News, Gretchen exhibited the highest standards of journalism and professionalism,” 21st Century Fox said in a statement. “She developed a loyal audience and was a daily source of information for many Americans. We are proud that she was part of the Fox News team. We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve.”

Carlson garnered national media attention in July when she filed a claim alleging she was let go from Fox News as retaliation for refusing Ailes’ advances after he told her, ‘I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago and then you’d be good and better and I’d be good and better,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Alies’ attorney’s denied the allegations, but 21st Century Fox hired firm Paul, Weiss to conduct an outside investigation that turned up other women who collaborated reports of sexual harassment, including Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, and Fox News host Andrea Tantaros, who also filed her own lawsuit claiming the company “operated like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency, and misogyny.”

Ailes was let go in July, and received a $40 million severance package. He will be paying a portion of the settlement, a source told The Hollywood Reporter.

Carlson said in a statement that she appreciated the network’s response to her lawsuit:

“I am gratified that 21st Century Fox took decisive action after I filed my complaint. I’m ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace.

I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and supported me in their #StandWithGretchen. All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded.”

Meanwhile, On the Record host Greta Van Susteren announced her departure from the network after 14 years.

She posted Tuesday to her Facebook page that “Fox has not felt like home for a few years and I took advantage of the clause in my contract which allows me to leave now. The clause had a time limitation, meaning I could not wait.”

She is a Fox News personality with a main clause allowing her to depart in the event Ailes did, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We are grateful for Greta’s many contributions over the years and wish her continued success,” a statement says.

The release also highlights Hume as an ideal choice for the nightly political program as “the most dynamic and captivating election in recent history unfolds.”
