Geoff Oki has been named creative director at the Los Angeles-based digital creative agency Heavenspot, a part of M&C Saatchi LA.

Oki will lead the agency’s existing clients, as well as be responsible for Heavenspot’s continued growth into verticals beyond entertainment, including automotive and hospitality. He will also oversee the expansion of the agency’s partnership with award-winning video production studio, Culprit Creative.

Oki was tapped for the role after three years as ACD, where he worked for clients such as FX Networks, Netflix, Mattel, Disney, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox.

“Part of Heavenspot’s magic is the team’s ability to work collaboratively across strategy, creative, and technology to create campaigns that reach and engage consumers who have high expectations from their favorite brands,” said Kathryn Schotthoefer, Heavenspot president in a statement. “Geoff is that rare creative who seamlessly blends an instinct for what will excite fans with a deep understanding of how to achieve our clients’ goals.”

“It’s an incredible opportunity to have a group of clients who are always challenging themselves to try something new,” says Oki, “and to lead a collaborative creative team with the talent and skill to consistently exceed all expectations. Every day, technology is presenting us with new formats and ways to connect, and I know that Heavenspot will be able to make the most of each one of them.”

Oki took on the ACD role at Heavenspot staff in 2014, after working as a graphic designer with the agency since 2008. He has also held design roles with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Break Media (now DEFY Media), and Seth Green’s production company Stoopid Monkey (Robot Chicken).
