Don’t go outside, don’t open the door, and don’t trust anyone.

On Oct. 25, Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things) is stirring up trouble with his new, unnerving Netflix series, Prank Encounters.

In each episode of the hidden-camera show, two strangers embark on seemingly mundane job assignments. However, these tasks will quickly turn into supernatural surprises—like creepy children, killer stuffed animals and erupting human bodies—before Matarazzo reveals it’s all in good fun.

“Guys! Guys! I know what’s happening,” he shouts in the spot while intercepting a prank. “You’re on my prank show, Prank Encounters.”

After its announcement in June, the series was met with backlash after the initial description said the series would prank active jobseekers. Both Netflix and Matarazzo responded, stating that “everyone [who participated] had a good time.”

Prank Encounters premieres Oct. 25 on Netflix.
