FX’s ballroom drama Pose won outstanding drama series at the GLAAD Media Awards, which the LGBTQ advocacy organization held virtually on Thursday, while Pop’s concluded comedy Schitt’s Creek took home outstanding comedy. Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart won for outstanding wide release film.

The GLAAD Media Awards honor media that best provide fair, accurate and inclusive presentations of LGBTQ people and issues. This year’s virtual version was hosted poolside by comedians Fortune Feimster and Gina Yahshere.

Transparent’s musical finale won as outstanding TV movie. Lil Nas X, who had a huge hit in 2019 with “Old Town Road,” took the prize for outstanding music artist. MTV’s Are You the One? took the trophy from two-time category winner RuPaul’s Drag Race to win outstanding reality program. Netflix’s reboot of Tales of the City, starring Laura Linney, was named outstanding limited series, while YouTube Original State of Pride won outstanding documentary. Hulu’s The Bravest Knight and Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical tied for best outstanding kids and family program. Private Division’s The Outer Worlds was named outstanding video game.

The GLAAD Media Awards’ 31st ceremony featured appearances from Kandi Burruss, Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Garner, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade, Demi Lovato, Peppermint, Lena Waithe, and the cast and producers of Pose, Schitt’s Creek, and more. Ben Platt, Chloe x Halle (featuring Drag Race stars Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Mayhem Miller, and Naomi Smalls) and Shea Diamond all performed.

The 31st annual GLAAD Media Awards will air on Logo on Monday, Aug. 3.
