Once again cleaning up for creative work, FX and Turner channels have won gold for campaigns behind Conan, Cougar Town and cable drama hit Fargo.
The 2014 Key Art Awards, sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter and the Clios, were hosted by Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman Thursday night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
Key Art Awards honor excellence in entertainment marketing through trailers, teaser spots, print art and integrated partnerships. This year’s winners were resoundingly from the cable world, with both drama and comedy winning gold for brief teaser spots and clever promotional endeavors. Just a few of those winners are below:
FX’s Fargo won gold in the audio/visual category for its TV teaser, “Roads,” created by mOcean:
Other gold winners for TV teaser trailers include HBO’s The Leftovers and Hulu’s Deadbeat.
TBS’s Conan took home gold for its long-form Hollywood Lyft ride along with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart:
Turner properties TNT and TBS also took home gold for the Dallas “Ewing Energies Gas Station” takeover in New York and TBS’s Cougar Town billboard made completely out of cork.
“Kitchen Sink,” the primary promo spot for FXX’s Simpsons marathon this summer, was awarded best spot in the audio/visual category this year:
Chiller’s “Robert Englund PSA” won gold as well, for its emotional portrayal from the man who was Freddy Krueger:
