In recognition of National Runaway Prevention Month, FX Networks is teaming up with True Colors United to raise awareness around youth homelessness.

Each year in the U.S., some 4.2 million young people aged 13-17 and young adults aged 18-25 experience homelessness. Among that group, LGBTQ youth are the most highly impacted. According a research report authored by the University of Chicago’s Chapin Hall titled “Voices of Youth County,” LGBTQ youth are more than twice as likely to experience homelessness than their non-LGBTQ peers. Although an estimated 10 percent of the U.S. youth population identifies as LGBTQ, they make up 40 percent of the homeless youth population.

Throughout November, FX Networks is partnering with True Colors United to provide custom Pose t-shirts that the organization is selling. All profits will be used toward implementing solutions for homelessness among LGBTQ youth. T-shirts can be purchased here.

FX Networks and True Colors United began their partnership in June, creating and distributing self-care kits to charitable organizations, in support of the same cause, followed by a PSA campaign.
