​FX Networks won big at the 2014 PromaxBDA North America Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards Thursday night, taking home 15 Gold statues—more than any other company—and winning the title of North America Marketing Team of the Year.

Canada’s Bell Media Agency led the 2014 PromaxBDA Global Excellence Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards, which recognizes work produced around the world. Bell Media took home seven Gold statues in addition to being named Global Excellence Marketing Team of the Year.

It was FX Networks’ third year in a row as North America Marketing Team of the Year, and Bell Media Agency’s second year winning the Global Excellence title.

The Agency of the Year Awards went to L.A.-based Stun Creative (North America), and The Corner London (Global Excellence). Stun also won three Gold Awards, with The Corner London taking home four.

PromaxBDA’s annual awards honor the most creative and innovative marketing, promotion, and design work in North America and around the world.

“This award means a lot to us,” said Brad Roth, Stun Creative co-founder and partner. “The idea to start our shop was actually hatched over coffee at Promax 15 years ago in South Beach.”

Mark Feldstein, Stun co-founder and partner added, “We wouldn’t be where we are today without the total collaboration and imagination of the incredible talent we have on staff, and our clients, who give us the opportunity to take creative risks.”

Other big winners of the night in the North America column included National Geographic Channels with 12 Gold awards, A+E Television Networks and HBO with 11 Gold Awards each, and Showtime with 10 Gold Awards.

On the Global Excellence side, National Geographic Channels International took home six Gold Awards, while ABC TV Australia and Creative Services Comedy South (VIMN) won five Gold Awards each.

“Our work reflects a collaboration of advertising, technology and culture and, consequently, is varied in design and media platform,” said Neil Simpson, founding partner at The Corner London. “Being recognized like this by the PromaxBDA community fills us with pride, and is a ringing endorsement for the hard work and talent of the team.”

The awards were handed out Thursday at the Hilton New York Midtown Hotel, during the closing night of PromaxBDA: The Conference 2014, the annual gathering of the global association of entertainment marketing, promotion, and design professionals.

British actor and comedian Jeff Leach hosted the awards ceremony.

“Part of our commitment to our members is to identify and showcase the best work being produced each year,” said Stacy La Cotera, vice president of global awards and competitions at PromaxBDA. “These award winners are delivering top-level marketing, and the entire industry can benefit from their vision and enthusiasm.”

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards are handed out in categories that honor everything from channel image spots, to voiceover work, to copywriting, to live event promotion.

FX Networks’ 15 Gold statues were part of the 40 total individual awards—Gold, Silver, and Bronze— the company took home Thursday night, again more than any other company. Stun Creative received 7 individual awards in total.

In the Global Excellence division, Bell Media Agency’s seven Gold statues were part of the 23 total individual awards the company won, again more than any other company. The Corner London received eight individual awards in total.

“The awards are a celebration of marketing—a chance for the industry to recognize the teams that have produced the most engaging work this past year,” said John Miller, chief marketing officer, NBC Sports Group and chair of the NBCUniversal Marketing Council, who served as this year’s PromaxBDA North America Awards jury chairman.
