Making Gibbons’ life a little easier is the fact that FX offers a slate of compelling programming that practically promotes itself. Much of it — particularly American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson, American Horror Story: Hotel and Fargo — is expected to clean up at this year’s Emmy awards come September.
Overall, FX Networks dominated with 67 overall nominations and golds in 10 categories. FX Networks swept the “Dramatic Spot or Campaign” category, with gold, silver and bronze, respectively, for campaigns for season two of Fargo, American Horror Story: Hotel and American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson.
The launch campaign for Fargo’s second season won several awards and nominations, including a series of brief shorts that truly teased the story to come.
Ryan Murphy and team had two powerhouse anthology series on FX this year: American Horror Story: Hotel and American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson. The two very different shows made early impressions with strong promo.
FX Networks also won for some non-video entries, including key art for seasons two of Tyrant and The Strain.
