FX and HBO once again top the nominations list for the several awards competitions coming up, with broadcaster ABC sharing the spotlight this time as well.

FX, HBO and ABC tie for the most television nominations for Critics’ Choice Awards with 14 each, but FX’s Fargo really takes the win, with the most nominations for any TV series. With eight total nominations, the second iteration of Fargo was also on the top of Golden Globe nominations.

Just behind Fargo is HBO’s The Leftovers and Amazon’s Transparent with six nominations each, reflecting the current awards nomination lists with streaming services and premium networks competing with cable series at the top.

The new combined format of the TV/film Critics’ Choice Awards, the TV race is limited to series airing between June 1 - Dec. 31, 2015.

The biggest difference between Critics’ Choice nominations and the recently announced SAG, PGA and Golden Globes is that broadcasters seem much more represented in this list. ABC, NBC and Fox are competing with streaming services and premium networks, notably because of Black-ish, The Wiz Live! and Last Man on Earth.

The Wiz Live!, which just aired on Dec. 3, earned five nominations in the Movie Made for Television categories for NBC. ABC’s Black-ish, Showtime’s Penny Dreadful and USA’s Mr. Robot (which was also nominated by the Writers Guild, SAG and Golden Globes) each had four nominations.

With three nominations each, FX’s American Horror Story: Hotel, Fox’s Empire, The CW’s Jane the Virgin, BBC America’s Luther, SundanceTV’s Rectify, National Geographic Channel’s Saints & Strangers, HBO’s Show Me a Hero, Cinemax’s The Knick and FX’s You’re the Worst also represented a varied list of cable, broadcast and premium networks.

A&E, Lifetime and LMN will the hosts of the Critics’ Choice Awards show in January, but only Lifetime was nominated for its summer hit UnREAL.

The 21st Annual Critics’ Choice Awards, hosted by comedian/actor T.J. Miller, will air on A&E, Lifetime and LMN on Jan. 17.
