Freeform will premiere its new series, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, on March 11, marking Freeform’s first presence at the two-week pop-culture fest.
Cloak & Dagger is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) -– two teenagers from very different backgrounds who discover they have superpowers that are mysteriously linked to each other.
Following the world premiere, series stars Holt and Joseph along with executive producer and showrunner Joe Pokaski, director Gina Prince-Bythewood and executive producer and Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb will take the stage to discuss the series.
Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger premieres Thursday, June 7.
Continuing with its on-the-ground marketing efforts, Freeform also is bringing Cloak & Dagger as well as new drama Sirens to Wondercon in Anaheim, Calif. Holt, Joseph and Loeb will appear on a panel about Cloak & Dagger on Friday, March 23, at 4:45 p.m. Sirens, about a mermaid who terrorizes a small coastal town, will be featured on Saturday, March 24, and then debut Thursday, March 29, in a two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. ET.
