ABC revealed its first teaser for Inhumans, the network’s third Marvel TV series after Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and the cancelled Agent Carter.

The story centers on a race of alien-human superbeings who have unlocked strange, powerful gifts. Set on Earth in the Inhumans’ technologically advanced city of Attilan, it follows the Royal Family and their leader and hero Black Bolt (Anson Mount), with a voice so powerful that the slightest whisper can destroy a city. He struggles to keep his crown as his evil brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon, Game of Thrones) plots to usurp him.

The trailer features the voice of Maximus.

“Are we supposed to follow our king and remain as silent as he is?” he asks.

The series also stars Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ken Leung as Karnak, Serinda Swan as Medusa, and Isabelle Cornish as Crystal.

Inhumans was shot using IMAX digital cameras, and the first two episodes will be released globally in IMAX theaters on September 1 for a two-week run ahead of the debut on ABC this fall.
