“You need to let me be what I’m meant to be. I’m not the one who dies. I’m the one who does the killing,” says Frank Castle (Ben Barnes) in Netflix’s teaser for season two of Marvel’s The Punisher.

The intense announcement for a January 18 return date shows Castle in the midst of an internal struggle as he faces the demons inside his head.

“It’s like a bomb went off inside my mind, scattering all the pieces. Everytime I try to put the pieces together, something won’t fit.”

Season two finds his former brother-in-arms Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) slowly beginning to heal from the traumatic brain injury Frank inflicted on him, it’s only a matter of time before Billy starts to put the pieces of the puzzle back together.

Meanwhile, the former marine-turned-vigilante has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham). As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as The Punisher, says Netflix.

The cast also includes Ben Barnes, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Josh Stewart, and Floriana Lima (Dr. Krista Dumont).

Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer.
