Fox’s cooking competition show MasterChef Junior has partnered with doll-turned-multimedia global brand American Girl.
The American Girl brand touts everything from dolls and accessories to books, movies and clothes for girls aged 3-12. Teaming with Endemol Shine Brand Partnership Group, a fictional version of MasterChef Junior will be featured in an upcoming film to celebrate American Girl’s 2015 Girl of the Year, Grace Thomas, a young aspiring baker.
“MasterChef Junior is pleased to team up with American Girl given the aspirational aspects of both of these strong brands,” said Vivi Zigler, president of Shine 360° & Digital, Shine America. “We hope our collective fans will enjoy seeing the two crossover in such a unique way.”
The film, An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success, will also star MasterChef Junior judge Joe Bastianich.
The upcoming movie, set to debut on DVD this summer, will be promoted on-air during MasterChef Junior, starting with the Feb. 17 episode, “The Crème de la Crème…Brûlée.”
