Winter midseason plans are heating up for the big broadcasters. Fox will take advantage of its NFC Championship Game this January, scheduling both the “Sleepy Hollow” season finale and “The Following” Season 2 preview around it.
Season 2 of “The Following” will kick off with a preview right after the NFC game Jan. 19, then will officially start its run on Jan. 27 with the premiere.
In a two-hour finale, “Sleepy Hollow” will culminate its first season the day after the game on Jan. 20. The series, based on the tales of the headless horseman and Ichabod Crane, have hit ratings highs for Fox this season thanks in part to delayed viewing. The two-hour event will include the episodes “The Indispensable Man” (about George Washington’s Bible) and “Bad Blood” (marking the season’s end). The season finale was originally planned as a two-night event, but now the two episodes will be shown back to back on Monday, Jan. 20.
