NBC’s three-minute teaser for This is Us features cast members reminiscing about season one, while dropping hints on what will unfold in season two.
“Change is coming,” says Emmy nominee Milo Ventimiglia, who plays family patriarch Jack. “You see the good, you see the bad. You see it all start to come together or you see it go really the other way and fall completely apart.”
The story will pick up right after Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack’s big fight in the season-one finale.
“Season two sort of picks up the very next morning,” Moore says in the trailer.
Meanwhile, in the present-day storyline, Randall (Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) are having disagreements as they contemplate adopting a third child.
William (Emmy nominee Ron Cephas Jones) will also make a reappearance as a scene—perhaps a flashback—shows him having a father-son heart to heart with Randall.
Meanwhile, Kevin (Justin Hartley) is struggling with his career and love life as he must decide whether to film a movie with Ron Howard or stay with Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge).
And Kate (Emmy nominee Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) have moved in together.
This Is Us returns September 26 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
