FX released this sneak peek of the new season of Fargo, which tells us very little. A woodpecker pecks a tree in a frozen landscape, while shots are fired off nearby.
We know that the new season of Fargo, like the new season of HBO’s True Detective, won’t feel much like season one, except that it will be set in the same place. It will go back in time to tell the story of state trooper Lou Solverson (played by Keith Carradine in season one, and Patrick Wilson in season two) and revolve around the 1979 Sioux Falls incident.
It’s also star-studded, featuring Kirsten Dunst and Friday Night Lights’ Jesse Plemons, as well as Ted Danson, Jean Smart and Wilson in the lead role.
Season two of Fargo returns this fall.
