Thirteen female artists from around the world turned the second-season episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones into pulp art covers just as Netflix’s superhero drama is set to premiere on March 8.

Each artist captured the spirit and essence of the episode her cover represents. The pulp-art style pays homage to Jones’ day job as a private investigator, and together the debut celebrates her role as an empowering heroine.

“Jessica’s strong, she’s vulnerable, and despite everything she’s been through, she still fights,” said actress Krysten Ritter about why her character resonated so well with fans in season one.

Netflix debuted the detailed covers as a way to introduce the titles of the season-two episodes, all of which were directed by women. Each illustration includes the name of the writer, director and artist.
