Netflix unveiled a trailer for part two of the original series The Get Down, premiering April 7.

In the clip, heavily features Ezekiel “Brooks” Figueroa (Justice Smith) who gets kicked out of his home and Mylene (Herizen Guardiola) who looks like she is set to become a big star.

The Get Down also stars Shameik Moore as Shaolin Fantastic and Skylan Brooks as Ra-Ra Kipling.

The show is a mythic saga of how New York at the brink of bankruptcy gave birth to a new art form. Set in New York in 1977, this music-driven drama series chronicles the rise of hip-hop and the last days of disco -– told through the lives, music, art and dance of the South Bronx kids who would change the world forever.

Netflix also released key art for Part II.

Baz Luhrmann and Stephen Adly Guirgis are co-creators of the series. Catherine Martin, rappers Nas and Grandmaster Flash are among the producers for the show, which documents the birth of hip hop in New York in the late 1970s.

The Get Down Part II premieres Friday, April 7 on Netflix.
