In a newly created role for the sports net, ESPN has promoted ​Jeffrey Gonyo to VP of marketing, brand strategy and expressions and executive creative director.

Gonyo, an ESPN marketing veteran, will oversee creative services and brand marketing for all ESPN properties. In his executive creative director role, he will be responsible for the consistency of ESPN’s brand across creative campaigns. This includes campaigns and branding for its franchise series “SportsCenter,” as well as “It’s Not Crazy, It’s Sports,” ESPN Films and The ESPY Awards.

Gonyo originally joined ESPN in 1998 before working with Major League Baseball and ABC Sports and returning to ESPN when those two companies merged.
