For some, the NFL Draft should be considered a holiday.
And that’s how ESPN has positioned it in a spot with CreativeWorks that features a play on The Night Before Christmas.
“T’was the night before the draft, and all through the league, teams were ranking the prospects, with growing intrigue,” “Happy Draft Days” begins.
The video introduces ESPN’s 2017 commenter team, which includes NFL Live host Trey Wingo who will host all seven rounds for the first time.
He’ll be joined by Mel Kiper Jr., Jon Gruden and Louis Riddick in Round 1; and Kiper, Riddick and Todd McShay for Rounds 2-7. Chris Mortensen, Adam Schefter and Suzy Kolber will also be part of ESPN’s coverage from Philadelphia.
The NFL Draft begins April 27, at 8 p.m. ET.
On April 22, ESPN will also debut the first episode of an NFL Draft show pre-produced for Instagram Stories at @ESPN. There will be five shows total, with one new episode premiering on the platform each day until Wednesday, April 26.
