Gearing up for its launch this month, new Latino-focused network, El Rey, has announced its new marketing team.
El Rey’s new VP of consumer marketing will be Chad Blankenship, who previously worked in the consumer marketing at ESPN. Blankenship worked with ESPN on its college sports portfolio, and has also been involved in marketing at agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy.
Clarissa Colmenero will be El Rey’s new executive director of public relations and communications, overseeing all corporate communications and publicity for the new cable net. Colmenero previously worked in the publicity at Summit Entertainment Studios where she produced marketing campaigns for films such as “Twilight,” “Red” and “Now You See Me.”
El Rey has also brought on Jose Antonio Hernandez as the network’s VP of trade marketing, who had worked at La Comunidad as senior account director. He has led campaigns for clients such as Apple, Jim Beam, and Converse.
El Rey Network, the new English-language net from Robert Rodriguez, plans to launch this month.
