Netflix and BBC One marked Friday the 13th with some new looks at its gothic reimagining of Dracula.
The series, starring Danish actor Claes Bang, reworks Bram Stoker’s 1897 story about a Transylvanian vampire who wrecks havoc in Victorian London.
Netflix’s trailer (above) offers some gruesome footage of those who encounter the Count, including the blood, guts and ruthless hunting as Dracula sinks his teeth into some new victims.
BBC’s full-length trailer, set to “Lust for Life” by Iggy Pop, takes a lighter approach to the seductive, blood-sucking Count by featuring a joke or two amid clips of his victims.
“I’m undead, I’m not unreasonable,” he says in the spot.
The three-part drama, made by Sherlock producer Hartswood Films, launches on BBC One on New Year’s Day before making its way over to Netflix on Jan. 4, 2020.
