Dr. Phil McGraw, host and executive producer of daytime talk show Dr. Phil, will give a keynote presentation at PromaxBDA’s Station Summit.

McGraw sits atop one of the most prolific brands in the entertainment industry, and was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 2015.

In addition to CBS’s Dr. Phil, he is the executive producer of the network’s The Doctors and executive producer and creator of the new drama series Bull. He is also launching a new syndicated show, DailyMailTV, this fall.

“We are truly honored to have Dr. Phil McGraw join us on stage as a keynote speaker at Station Summit 2017,” said Steve Kazanjian, president and CEO, PromaxBDA. “In addition to sustaining an iconic television show for 15 years, he has built a brand that is recognized and trusted worldwide.”

In his keynote address, he will share his unique insights and core strategies to becoming a force of change in your own life as well as in your family and your organization.

McGraw takes the stage at the yearly gathering of television station marketing and promotional professionals on Wednesday, June 21 at 8 a.m. at The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas. Station Summit runs from June 19 - 23.

As a well-known mental health professional and host of Dr. Phil, now in its 15th season, McGraw has reached worldwide fame through his ability to take complicated and technical information and make it accessible and understandable to the general public. He presents compelling stories about real people with a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, stripping away the shame and embarrassment that too often keeps people from seeking help.

McGraw continues to value his academic training and professional qualifications and insists that the information provided on his show is based on evidence-based treatment options and state-of-the-art research in the fields of psychology, psychiatry and medicine. Since its inception, the show has provided over $30 million in aftercare services for its guests.

Before his television career, McGraw founded Courtroom Sciences, Inc., (CSI), a groundbreaking trial science firm specializing in all aspects of litigation support, providing multi-disciplinary expertise in all areas of litigation and forensic arenas.

He worked side by side with top lawyers from around the world in the most high profile cases, and his work there inspired Bull, on which he serves as co-creator, executive producer and writer.

He’s also the author of nine New York Times bestselling novels, and with his oldest son, Jay, created the telemedicine system “Doctor on Demand” to deliver medical and psychiatric care via a mobile device. In 2003, he and his wife, Robin, established the Dr. Phil Foundation, a nonprofit that funds projects benefiting disadvantaged children and families.

He is often called upon for his expert opinion by major national and international news outlets, and frequently testifies before Congress on high profile topics such as the overmedication of children in the foster care system, the growing epidemic of type 2 diabetes, cyber-bullying and domestic violence.

McGraw has a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas, and a post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology from the Wilmington Institute. He was a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas where he practiced clinical psychology and developed one of the country’s first multi-modal protocols for the treatment of chronic pain.
