Disney Plus’ new movie Stuntman follows professional stuntman Eddie Braun as he attempts to recreate Evel Knievel’s famous 1974 attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon in Idaho in a steam-powered rocket.
To accomplish this feat, Braun teamed up with Scott Truax, the son of the NASA scientist who built Knievel’s original rocket, to try to clear the canyon.
The film offers a rare look into the entertainment industry’s most dangerous and anonymous profession through the eyes of a vet.
The movie features music from Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and a score by Jeremy Zuckerman.
Stuntman is executive produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Brian Gewirtz from Seven Bucks Productions. Producers from Driven Pictures are Steven Golebiowski, Braun and Kurt Mattila. Mattila also directed and edited the feature documentary. Kelly Knievel serves as executive producer.
Stuntman premieres Friday, July 23 on Disney Plus.
