​With shows like “Shots of Awe,” “Thanks, Disaster” and “Nature Hates You,” Discovery Channel is definitely aiming its new online, ad-supported network at its curious male viewers.

Its new network at TestTube.com features 15 original series that range from a daily science-related news show, visual inspiration with Jason Silva, an archive format proving that “Mother Nature can and will mess you up” and plans to add more throughout the year. Its Revision3 division, acquired to take Discovery Channel fully into a multi-screen world, is heading up this project and using YouTube to distribute and promote its new web shows.
