Content creation studio Bodega has signed Los Angeles-based director Mike Goubeaux for U.S. commercial representation as the studio continues its West Coast expansion.

Mike’s unique, whimsical style features a design-driven aesthetic that effortlessly mixes magical in-camera effects with VFX, quirky casting, and expertly paced comedic moments.

With locations in New York, San Francisco and a recent expansion to Los Angeles, Goubeaux said Bodega is perfectly positioned to help him achieve his goals.

“I’ve been looking for a home with production through post capabilities, bi-coastal offices, and most importantly, a strong executive producing team that can help take my career to the next level,” said Goubeaux in a statement.

Goubeaux is known for his unique, whimsical style featuring a design-driven aesthetic that effortlessly mixes magical in-camera effects with VFX, quirky casting, and expertly paced comedic moments.

He has experience directing commercials for companies such as Pepsi, eBay, Lysol, Sprint, Hyundai, Dannon, Wawa, Braun, and Burger King. He’s also helmed broadcast campaigns for MTV, NBC, HGTV, Disney, and Nickelodeon, and has worked with talent that includes John Stamos, Blake Shelton, Megan Fox, John Cena. He was involved in the Dos Equis “Most Interesting Man In the World” campaign and his most recent commercial project is for 7-11 through agency Deutsch LA.

Before transitioning into directing, Goubeaux worked as an artist and art director at motion graphics shops such as Roger, Elastic and Laundry, and uses his skills in editorial, design, color, compositing and visual effects to aid in the preparation, shooting and post production processes of every project he directs.

“We’ve worked with Mike for a number of years now,” said Clint Goldman, Bodega executive producer and partner. “He’s technically sharp and has vast design, narrative, and comedic skills. He’s also a collaborator, which fits our family aesthetic, and he’s just a lot of fun. Now that we’re in LA, the timing was right to officially bring him on.”
