​First, the second season of “Defiance” was sold as an action-packed sci-fi drama with factions starting to split off to cause trouble.

Then, Syfy made a complete 180-degree turn with some genre-busting teasers, editing footage from the show to sell it as a romantic soap opera called “All My Votans,” an ‘80s sitcom (“Irisa in Charge”) and a Kardashian-esque reality show “Keeping Up With The Castithans:”

Now, in its latest twist, the show got reworked as a tourism ad (below) for the futuristic version of St. Louis where visitors can live in peace with more than seven alien races as well as humans. “Defiance’s” second season debuts June 19 on Syfy.
