Forget everything you know about Netflix’s Dear White People—things are shaking up when the woke college comedy returns for season three on Aug. 2.

“People still care, but people change. If everyone stayed exactly the same, life would be tedious and predictable…like the third season of a Netflix show,” Reggie (Marque Richardson) says in the season three trailer.

For starters, Sam is exiting as host of her provocative campus radio show, seemingly burnt out and confused about her future. Joelle (Ashley Blaine Featherson) has taken over, promising “same title, new spin,” as she revamps the show to encompass politics, pop culture and “guests who think the Supreme Court is a Diana Ross-themed drag challenge.”

“Think Moonlight meets Sex and the City, but boiling over with all the tea,” Joelle says.

In addition to season three’s trailer, Netflix also announced a slew of actors who will guest star, including Yvette Nicole Brown, Blair Underwood, Laverne Cox, Flavor Flav, and the show’s own creator Justin Simien. The streaming giant released the below spot two days prior to the trailer’s release.

Netflix also unveiled this season’s key art, which plays on the idea of the characters “growing” in more than one way:
