Dear White People, Netflix’s satirical series about Winchester University’s students of color, will return for season three on Aug. 2.
The cast made the announcement with a “Great Grits Debate” video that landed on Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. In the spot, they playfully argue about the best way to eat a Southern favorite: grits.
The series picks up where the acclaimed 2014 film by the same name left off. It follows a group of colored Ivy League students as they navigate social injustice, cultural bias and activism in a predominately-white atmosphere.
Volume 3—as promoted by the streamer—premieres Aug. 2 on Netflix.
