Michael Davidowitz and Laura Kane have both been named vice president, creative director at Paramount Network, and Kane also will have TV Land in her portfolio. Both will report to Deva Newman, senior vice president, creative, Paramount Network and TV Land, which are both are owned by Viacom.
Davidowitz will lead the on-air marketing promotion strategy and creative execution for Paramount Network’s scripted programs across both linear and digital platforms.
Most recently, he was executive producer for Paramount Network, and its previous incarnation, Spike. He has conceived and implemented branded content and on-air campaigns for Waco, Heathers, The Mist and Tut, among others.
Prior to joining Spike in 2014, Davidowitz was a senior writer and producer at HBO, working on such shows as True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Boardwalk Empire, True Detective and The Wire.
Similarly, Kane will lead the on-air marketing promotion strategy and creative execution of scripted programming across linear and digital platforms for both Paramount Network and TV Land. She previously served as executive producer for TV Land where she worked on campaigns for such shows as Younger, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Lopez and Hot In Cleveland.
Kane started her career as an intern at MTV News in 1997 and has remained with Viacom ever since, working with Nickelodeon’s casting and talent development and with the brand creative group where she expanded her role to Nick @ Nite and TV Land.
