David Schwimmer successfully takes a reservation for Sunday, June 5 at 10 p.m. — the date and time that Feed the Beast premieres — while remaining hilariously clueless about the scene unfolding behind him in AMC’s latest promo.
Feed the Beast tells the story of best friends Tommy Moran (Schwimmer) and Dion Patras (Jim Sturgess) who, on the brink of losing everything, embark on their dream of opening an upscale restaurant in the Bronx. Dion is a brilliant chef who’s in deep with the Mob and can’t stay out of trouble, while Tommy is haunted by the past, as the two try to turn their lives around.
The cast also includes Michael Gladis, as Patrick Woichik, a.k.a The Tooth Fairy: a soft spoken, brutally intimidating local mobster with a penchant for pulling teeth; Lorenza Izzo, as Pilar Herrera, a woman desperately searching for true love who meets Tommy in a grief group; Christine Adams as Tommy’s late wife Rie Moran; John Doman as Tommy’s father Aidan Moran, a shrewd and ruthless businessman and unapologetic racist; and Elijah Jacob as Tommy’s 10-year old son TJ Moran.
Feed the Beast is adapted by executive producer/showrunner Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Nurse Jackie).
