Danielle LaFortune has been named vice president of Los Angeles-based Big Picture Entertainment, said Ryan Hegenberger, founder, owner and managing member, and Charlie Emde, president, owner and managing member. LaFortune will report directly to the pair.

LaFortune joined the company in July 2020 and has been helping to nearly double Big Picture in size since then. In her new role, LaFortune will focus on department structure, internal processes and company strategy, including expanding the design team.

“Danielle adds a different dimension to Big Picture, in addition to her expertise in the creative realm. Her management style complements where Charlie and I have brought the company to this point,” said Hegenberger in a statement. “Not only is she a strategic thinker, but she also possesses the tactical knowledge that is needed to continue our evolution within the industry.”

“[Danielle] epitomizes the creativity, strength, and humanity that we strive for at Big Picture,” said Emde, also in a statement. “[W]ith the rapid growth of the company since she joined, we need more precision with our processes to meet growing demand, and she’s the perfect person to help in that restructuring.”

Prior to joining Big Picture, LaFortune served as senior vice president of Mocean, where she oversaw a period of tremendous growth as well as six consecutive Promax Agency of the Year nominations and three wins. She was responsible for producing integrated campaigns for clients including HBO, FX, Netflix, Starz, A&E, The Disney Channel, Twentieth Century Fox and Lucasfilm, and acted as an executive producer for more than 70 shoots.

Her favorites include an HBO multiset brand shoot featuring talent from Silicon Valley, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Last Week with John Oliver, a three-day print and AV rebrand shoot for TLC, and a behind-the-scenes multi-camera table read shoot for TNT’s Animal Kingdom.

“I’m looking forward to building upon the foundation of creative excellence and culture that Ryan and Charlie have built at Big Picture as we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our client partners,” said LaFortune.
