​Turner Broadcasting has upped ad sales exec Dan Riess to executive VP of integrated marketing and branded content.

The 15-year Turner veteran will be based in New York City, and report to ad sales president Donna Speciale.

Riess will oversee branded marketing partnerships across the domestic entertainment, news, kids, and youth properties.

“We represent a diverse portfolio of leading businesses. As our brands continue to grow, so do the demands for custom marketing opportunities across our networks, digital and mobile platforms; thus, dictating a need for a centralized person to manage these integrated activations,” said Speciale in a statement. “Dan has done an incredible job in his previous role overseeing the Turner Entertainment integration group and will bring that drive, creativity and strategic focus to the larger portfolio.”

Riess arrived at Turner in 1997 and has held numerous positions at the company, including senior vice president of integrated marketing for Turner Entertainment Ad Sale and Marketing, vice president of marketing and ad solutions for the Turner New Products Group.
