How will artificial intelligence impact the future of television? What drives a brand to take a strong stand on political and cultural issues? Why is the rise of digital platforms—such as content aggregators—significant, and how can entertainment marketers leverage those new opportunities?

Those are just some of the topics that PromaxBDA: The Conference will explore this year as more than 2,400 marketers and creatives from across the industry gather for education, inspiration, networking and the celebration of excellence from June 5 - 8 at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles.

As an organization that has seen the arc of the entertainment marketing industry since the inception of television, PromaxBDA President and CEO Steve Kazanjian stressed the importance of staying on the cutting edge.

In addition to the traditional 30-minute sessions, this year’s content also features a new formats with labs and masterclasses. Lasting an hour-and-a-half, they give conference attendees the opportunity to take a deep dive into topics such as creativity, branding and the deconstruction of live TV.

“One of the things we really wanted to make sure is … we’re always staying current and relevant to the trends and behaviors of the consumer, the trends of the industry, and the intersection between creative and technology,” Kazanjian said in episode one of the newly launched Daily Brief Podcast.

With that in mind, The Conference this year features an expanded footprint that goes beyond the realm of television marketing.
