PromaxBDA this year held the Creating What’s Next student competition. Winners were announced by Extra’s Mario Lopez on video on May 16 and also celebrated on the PromaxBDA stage in New York last week.
Students were asked to enter work created while enrolled in an accredited program in 2017. That work was judged by executives from networks and creative agencies, including including A+E Networks, Fox, NBC, Univison, Disney, Hammer Creative, Pop TV, Roger and more.
Here, we are going to feature each of the winners. Today’s entry, by School of Visual Arts’ Jue Gong, won gold for art direction and design: motion graphics.
The spot, “Too Much of Me,” includes some mature language and graphics but ultimately shows that simple is often powerful.
